Welcome to my website! I am a PhD Candidate in the department of mathematics at the University of Notre Dame under Andrew Putman. My work lands in the intersection of geometric group theory and geometric topology. In particular, I study subgroups of the mapping class group called the little handlebody Torelli group and the big handlebody Torelli group.

Office Hours with Non-Mathematicians
Mathematics is often present as structure before it is present as calculation. Through interviews with people outside mathematics, this project explores the problems they solve and uncovers the mathematical ideas behind their work—without assuming advanced mathematical knowledge.
